Barefoot Botanicals was founded by two homeopaths, Hilery Dorrian and Jonathan Stallick in 1998 after Hilery's daughter, Emily, developed a head lice infestation.
The two friends from homeopathic college cooked up a blend based on a traditional recipe using essential oils and herbal extracts. The formula worked! And thus was born Barefoot Botanicals. Hilery and Jonathan then got excited about the possibility of a range of products using synergistic blends of plant oils and extracts and, importantly, avoiding the synthetic soups that pass for most skin, hair and body care products (even the so-called natural ones!)
