La Meije is an essence that inspires and holds us when we are facing our true calling. It is supportive when one is looking up at one’s own spiritual mountain in life and feeling tiny, vulnerable and not up to the job - when what lies ahead is both awesome and terrifying. It could be manifesting as one’s life work, a fundamental shift in direction, or as an inner call to live very differently with much deeper values. When we look at that path, and look at where we have been, the way back can seem more comfortable, or at least safer, than the path that goes ahead. La Meije is for when we are in that place of choice—not the little everyday choices—at a real crossroads where we have the chance to enter into a much deeper, richer, more sustaining and more risky connection with life or where we can stay in a place which is perhaps a little more sleepy and more secure.
The essence gives us the opportunity to see beyond our fears and see the beauty of where we are. It reminds us our grounding is firm, we are not alone, we only have to reach out our hand to be held in Spirit and guided. It beckons us to risk and trust; to meet this point where life has issued us with a command, knowing that we will be supported, cradled and sustained in every moment.
