Lunar Standstill is an environmental, gem and flower essence. It was made on a small tidal island, off one of the remote islands of Orkney. The bowl was left for the night as the high tide cut off this patch of land. It rested on a bed of Oyster Plant, where the north sea and atlantic meet, under a huge moon, both pulled and anchored by these forces: an essence of moon, flower and tides.
Lunar Standstill helps us find our natural rhythm - be this circadian rhythm, sleep pattern, menstrual cycle/menopause—and to find a new rhythm when our old one has been disrupted. Our rhythm, our flow, and our sense of harmony in our life, are all intricately linked. When this is disturbed through change, or where it has become heavy and stuck in a pattern which no longer serves us, we can feel profoundly affected. This essence helps restore us to our inner sense of how best we may move with these currents, supporting us when we are struggling to find our natural balance in a particular cycle or phase of our journey.
