This essence was made on the shores of Mull as the sun set behind Iona, casting its rays upon this holy island and across the tranquil water.
Serenity is an essence which nurtures an internal space for meditation, mindfulness and increased awareness. It assists us in moving from one level of consciousness to another, releasing resistance and moving gently and fluidly forward in to greater openness and clarity. It is a profoundly supportive tool for spiritual practice, guiding us to let go of need and enjoy the serenity of being.
The essence is also helpful where there is suffering and turmoil that comes from undue attachment to a way of being/a person/a set of circumstances/an ideal or dream. The deep soothing calm of the environment in which this essence was made - the sea hushed and at peace - acts like a spiritual balm. Serenity assists us in bringing awareness and wisdom to those processes of the mind which can judge, undermine, and sabotage us, causing us to distort what is beautiful, simple and natural within ourselves. It helps to gently untangle the knots and release us from patterns of clinging desperately to that which is external to us.
